Yes, I've used both-- non-power lino carvers and a rotary tool. I find
I prefer the lino carver most of the time as it's easier to control.
However, the Dremel works well on some stamp material that tends to be
"gritty" feeling when tooled. The big sheet of stamp material I have,
for instance, isn't smooth feeling like the vinyl erasers, even though
it looks like the same stuff.
